Roaster

Irish slang, used to refer to a generally a man (but possibly a woman) from a rural area who displays poor etiquette, fashion-sense, table manners and generally backwards behaviour. Common to be poorly groomed. Likes GAA, hates the Brits. Likes black pudding, afraid of public transport.

See that lad wearing the bootcut jeans and brown shoes drinking the pint of cider, what a roaster!
