When someone is a "thug" or really flashy on an internet social network (preferably myspace because that site allows for the most posturing due to colorful back grounds and special effects) but in real life they lack luster.
Keisha: did you ever go meet up with that guy Robert?
Carrie: ugh...yeah
Keisha: so was he as cool as he seemed on line?
Carrie: no, he was a myspace guy
Keisha: oh wow, sorry :(

A hairstyle common in the 2000’s til about 2012. It was customary for Gen Y kids To showcase their Millenial Misery with a profile pic on Myspace with side swoop bangs. This hairstyle’s exaggerated part would cause the elder emo’s hair to nearly cover both or at least one of their eyes. It was also customary for the Myspace Mop to be utterly fried with a hair straightener and dyed unnaturally, either with overly saturated colors or horizontal stripes.
I’ve been feeling nostalgic lately and decided I hate my center part hair. I want to go back to my Myspace Mop days and change my profile song to Story of the Year or The Maine’s latest release. Simpler Times.

The pose everybody does for their myspace profile picture: a peace sign with middle and index finger held next to their face, and a smile

A genre which is the blend of melodic hardcore, early metallic hardcore and some post-hardcore. It usually has metallic hardcore riffs oftentimes influenced by early metalcore bands such as Earth Crisis, Visions of Disorder or Poison the Well, melodic choruses and the occasional dissonant chords. It makes heavy use of screamed vocals, although shouting, cleans and gang vocals are also prominent. The genre gets it's name from it's popularity on sites such as MySpace.
Examples of MySpace Hardcore: Evergreen Terrace, later Comeback Kid, Arrow Minds (an especially modern example), A Dozen Furies (very ATG infused example)
