"Cyberattack" is a term used to describe when some person or group intentionally hacks into the computer network of a corporation, government or individual to steal data, delete data, infect programs with a computer virus, manipulate operations or shut down operations. A cyberattack may be considered an act of war.

Cyber Attack

Hym "Did I tell you guys my workplace got hit by a cyber attack? Weird right? Of all the places to hit.... Why a Midwestern gas station chain? The whole system was down for weeks... It's weird... Suuuuper weird, right? I mean... What's so special about that place? Why would hackers even bother shutting down a gas station's ability to order product? Strange.... Strange stuff..."
