A mis-spelling of the word Sylheti (see definition under Sylheti) commonly used by ill educated outsiders who are not familiar with how the actual word is pronounced. This mis-spelling and hence mis-pronunciation of the word 'Sylheti' is prevalent amongst the lower classes in Bangladesh.
This ignoramus mis-spelt the word Sylheti and instead wrote sylethi.

Used to describe ppl from Syleth, Bangladesh. They (sylethi's) tend to be in to only their people although they are from Bangladesh they do no want to assciate them selves with people from dhaka or any other cities in bangladesh. They also speek a variation on Bangla. Many view them as a little backward or low class.
