Sustainable Cooperative for Organic Development
(aka Sustainable Community for Organic Dwelling)
A complex organization of individuals dedicated to Environmental Causes, Alternative Theories, and/or Pagan Spirituality. Formed in 1994 by the Tontine Triad, the original goal was the establishment of the Pipedream Pub, a Medieval Tavern in the United States of America. The Architectural Thesis was published in 2000 by Drogo Empedocles at SCAD, in Georgia.

scod (adj) Anything relating to a network or community, as well as complex philosophic or Architectural Theory. The term was coined after the development of the SCOD graduate thesis from SCAD in 2000, and later websites referencing related works.

SCOD (sexy cause of the day): any Cause de Jour that is suddenly the most important thing on the internet, and people are willing to kill each other over it. Supporting a SCOD automatically makes a person hot, morally superior, infallible, and possessing an asshole that smells like roses. The SCOD of one week may require a person to espouse values diametrically opposed to the values of the SCOD of the week before.
Landing on the wrong side of the SCOD will
cause you to be eviscerated by a SCODMOB that is SCODDING, or performing the SCOD. A person who goes constantly from SCOD to SCOD is a SCODSEXUAL. This is a politically neutral term.
