A friend who smokes cannabis; specifically, a friend met on the "trees" subreddit of Reddit.

"Frient" comes from the combination of "friend" and "ent"; "ent" is a term used to refer to members of the trees community on Reddit, originating from the fact that ents are fictional keepers of the trees in Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings" and from the fact that marijuana nuggets often look like miniature trees.

Dude I'm so stoked to have met Jolie, we had a blast Saturday night getting blazed together, went for a walk in the rain, and then we ended up getting naked at my place. The next morning we had coffee on my porch and she's like "that was really nice, we should do it again soon." I'm so glad to have a frient with benefits!
