Turning on a TV show that you don't usually watch and yet somehow, inexplicably, always managing to see the same rerun episode.

Roommate 1: Unbelieveable! Whenever I settle on watching "Medium" I somehow always pick up the episode when Allison is battling the ghost serial killer played by the dad from "That 70's Show".

Roommate 2: Oh, I love that one!

Roommate1: Yeah, but this the 3rd time I've seen it and its the only episode I've ever seen! Didn't they make like five seasons of this show? Talk about your deja view!

Deja View 

A derivitive of deja vu, it's what happens when you watch a TV show for only the second time and it's the same episode you watched the first time you saw the show.

I only saw this show once before and now I'm suffering from deja view.

deja view 

The weird coincidence that happens when you decide to watch a repeat of a tv program that you've seen only (parts of) once before, and it turns out to be that one episode that you've already seen.

I've seen Seinfeld only once, so I thought I'd try to get into it watch the repeats ... turned on the tv and it was the one episode I'd already seen. Talk about deja view.

That uncanny feeling, when you recognize a real life situation, and realize you've seen it previously in a porn flick.

Did you see who delivered the pizza? Super hot blonde, barely 20 years old! I had a total deja-pay-per-view when she said "who ordered the one with extra sausage?"

deja viewing 

The terrible feeling you get when you're half-way through a movie or a program and suddenly remember you've watched it before, and thus realize that your evening is shot, your memory is a sieve, and your whole existence is a waste. A byproduct of too much streaming in too concentrated period of time.

Oh, dude, I was killing it with Steve McQueen and Bullitt and then it hit me I was deja viewing and had just seen it like, a month ago.
My sister is locked in a loop where she keeps deja viewing stuff and then gets all disgusted with how bleak her life is.
I've seen Pulp Fiction about a dozen times on purpose, but unintentionally deja viewing The Great Train Robbery just once left me totally bummed.

Michelle realised that she was experiencing de-ja not view when she watched ER, never being sure whether George Clooney was back or hadn't yet left!
