A cycle where economic conditions, domestic politics, and international geo-politics feed off each other in a negative way, resulting in fragmentation, instability, increasing inequity, and resentment; the doom loop gives people the sense that they must “blow up” existing systems in order to effect any real, positive change.
Both the United States and China are rejecting global organizations such as WHO and the United Nations, as not beneficial to them. China, for instance, is leading emerging nations into new global organizations, causing a doomloop in which international cooperative rules become fragmented and contribute to greater instability and potential for national conflicts.
