After the mythological Greek King Midas, whose touch turned things into pure gold: Someone whose actions create trouble, misery, chaos, fear, and cruelty. (Coined 3 June 2025 by a California nurse.)

Those tariffs; the illegal deportations; those attacks on law firms and universities; the depredations of Elon Musk and DOGE; the slashing of congressionally approved funding; the mass firings--that Trump is a total shit-Midas.
