corporatized, lobotomized, watered-down mainstream answer to the grind/death/crust music of the late 80s and early 90s crossed with elements of hip-hop, but lacking any of the things that made either form of music music great- i.e. guts, thoughts, belief, intensity, passion, speed, technical ability, a real reason to be angry. Nu-metal encourages kids to buy CDs at the mall, spend their money on stupid accessories at Hot Topic, and rebel against their parents when they should be rebelling against the system that built the mall they're shopping at.

n. Black Friday, in the United States,the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally marked by early morning sales accompanied by irrational violence at malls and shopping centers as bargain seekers do whatever they can to get what they want. Anticapitalists have dubbed Black Friday "Buy Nothing Day", and have attempted to counter the excessive consumption of the day by leafletting against the same sales, creating mock sales and coupons, organizing boycotts, and generally attempting to draw attention to the plight of the poor in the U.S. and around the world in contrast.
On Buy Nothing Day, not only should you avoid buying consumer goods and services, you should take positive action to emphasize the immportance of human life as opposed to material possesions.

The only journalist who regularly seems to be paying attention to the way America is being sold to large corporations and the highest bidding political dynasties in the U.S. But why doesn't he get published in the U.S. papers?!?
I worry that Greg Palast is going to get taken out for asking too many questions about the Bush family!
