Stimming is when you do a repetitive thing which is related to autism, but is not only with autists. People with ADHD commonly do that too. It could be for a good or bad reason.

person 1: why was person 2 flapping his hands when the police drove by?
Person 3: it made him stim.
Person 1: what
Person 3: he has autism.
