A young person (typically female or feminine/emo male) who listens to metalcore, deathcore or nu-metal. Bands like Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon, As I Lay Dying and Slipknot are typical examples about fake metal, poser metal and mallcore.

Metal-poser is basically a fan of nu-metal, metalcore or deathcore.
True Metalhead: "I enjoy many different metal sub-genres like heavy metal, power metal, NWOBHM, thrash metal, speed metal, black metal, viking metal, progressive metal, death metal and doom metal. Some of my favourite bands include Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Death, Saxon, Mercyful Fate, Led Zeppelin, Satyricon, Kreator, Slayer, Behemoth and Amon Amarth. I have a lot of respect for the fore-fathers of metal music and I buy real albums."

Metal-Poser: "I just downloaded some songs by Bullet For My Valentine and I Killed the prom Queen. Man, they are sooo br00tal."
