NCT, short for "Neo Culture Technology", is a new K-Pop boygroup launched by SM Ent. in 2016. The group has an unlimited amount of members and can get divided into unlimited sub-groups. The sub-groups are either location based and have a fixed amount of Members (like NCT 127 is based in Seoul and have (currently) nine members) or are "special" units with no fixed members. They can change with every comeback to match the theme and concept (like NCT U or NCT Dream, where every Member in Dream has to be underage). The first unit "NCT U" had their debut at the 9th April 2016 with the digital singles "The 7th sense" and "Without you". The Seoul based unit "NCT 127" followed at the 7th July with their title track "Fire Truck" and the first mini album "#127". NCT Dream, just with boys between 14-17, had their debut at the 25th August with their digital single "Chewing gum". There are serveral foreign members beside the korean ones, because SM plans to expand NCT in the future to the whole world, so that there are units based in China, Latin America, Japan etc., singing in their respectevely languages. Before NCT debuted, many of them were part of the pre-debut team "SM ROOKIES".
Fan 1: "Did you heard of NCT already?"
Fan 2: "Yes, but there are so many members, I don't know if I will be able to memorize all!"
