Noun. A story propounded upon the public by persons holding or seeking public office in order to trick voters into the false belief that all politicians are not the same and thereby temporarily convince them to cast their vote in favor of the storyteller (a.k.a. fibber).
The Fairy Tales told by Obama were really unlike those told by Bush but somehow the result is nearly the same: tremendous disappointment.
