An offensive and racist term to describe white people, usually used by Chinese and East Asians . According to the research, in late Qing dynasty this word was found to be used by Chinese to call the Eight-Nation Alliance invaders as they were fat, lazy, filthy and unintelligent, . This word was also highly used in Hong Kong in newspaper articles as a reference to Hong Kong white policeman in the use of abuse of power in 1967 Hong Kong Protest. In modern days, Chinese people use this word to describe anti-China white people on the internet and other hypocritical pro-China Westerners.
