Wurzel or most commonly spelt Worzel is a word given to the locals of the many farming communities of Southampton. The farmers speak with a strong West Country dialect, which for the most part is inaudible, they also dress like scarecrows.

Southampton is the most hated part of Hampshire. This is because, when attending football away days, they block and clog up the M27 and other roads and motorways with their slow moving combine harvesters and tractors.

The people of Southampton also love attending annual vegetable show as well as horse fairs and caravan showcases. This is down to their high gypsy population.

Worzel is a word used to describe a villager or a local from the farming community of Southampton. Southampton is renowned for its acres of crop land, Benny Hill and the strange West Country accent that they all carry.

It is common for Worzels to idolise Worzel Gummidge as they see him as a father like figure. Most will go as far to speak with straw in their mouth and attend Southampton away days dressed up as scarecrows.

Two Bob Worzel is a term used to describe someone that is tight with their money. In most cases they will do everything they can to save every penny.

Most of the farmers from Hilsea would fit under the category of Two Bob Worzels. They would go on days out to Hilsea Creek and the Green Farm petting zoo.

Northen Parader is a term used to describe the middle class, ex suburban, posh farmers that have moved into the city to try and make a name for themselves. They speak with an extra strong west country dialect and are mostly inaudible. Coming in all shapes in sizes these Worzel offspring are taking over Hampshire.
"Did you end up going for a drink last night mate?" "No I didn't geez, the Coach & Horses was packed full of Worzels and Northen Paraders, I had to go to the Green Farm".

Hilsea is a farming town located at the most Northen part of Portsmouth. The farmers of Hilsea speak with Worzel Gummidge like accents and follow in a cult like fashion.

Hilsea is the farming capital of Hampshire. It’s located at the most northern part of Portsmouth. The locals speak with a strong West Country dialect and usually idolise Worzel Gummidge.

Locals will often be found chewing straw on a leisurely walk through North Parade, on their way to the petting zoo at the Green Farm.
“Try and use a pitch fork next time you’re unravelling the hay bales”. “When you’re done we will head back to the Green Farm in Hilsea, for a ice cold pint”.
