Named after Chavistas -- strong-armed supporters of former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez -- who were civilian thugs encouraged by Chavez to stand up for their beliefs and intimidate those of his detractors. Chavistas could be found wielding assault rifles and waving copies of Venezuela's Constitution in their earnest belief that only Hugo Chavez could make Venezuela great again.
Donald Trump has exposed an ugly side of America. I would attend his rallies to protest his beliefs but I fear being assaulted by his Trumpistas.
