Thuong 

A deeper way of telling someone close that you love/care for them. Thuong in vietnamese translates to “Love Tenderly” Thuong is a sacrificial type of love, one where you are to put other’s happiness and well-being above yours, admist all adversity and beyond. An unconditional love that exceeds any personal/selfish desire, ultimately wishing the other the best in life- even if it means sacrificing and suppressing your own emotions.

When you thuong somebody (romantically or not), you are willing to take on the responsibilities that the relationship demands unconditionally in favor for the other person.
