The P90D version goes 0-60 mph (0-100 kph) in 3.2 supercar crushing seconds and takes it to the 1/4 mile (400 meters) in 11.6 seconds, faster than any production SUV built in history. This is done using its 762 combined horsepower dual-electric motors.

CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, said in an interview about the Tesla Model X, "I'm not sure anyone should have made this car ... it's like, really hard to build."
