A person who is in a relationship with somebody who works in the hospitality industry (i.e. chef, restaurant owner, waiter, barman), who never sees them because they work unsociable hours (weekends, late nights etc), so much so that they may as well be a widow.

Does Faye have a husband, we've never seen him?
She's a restaurant widow.
