Executing or removing a huge block of people just because one feels like it, or some equally minuscule reason. Named after Augusto Pinochet, Chilean dictator famous for his mass "removal" of thousands of rebels.

It can also mean following in the steps of the Chilean dictator, but that tense is less likely.
Dude, my coach had fifty extra guys on the bench right, and he decided to pull a Pinochet and send them all home. It was crazy, they were like, what?
