pseudolism

n. The crap that passes for journalism, but is comprised mostly of opinion and unchecked facts. Most often seen on web news sites you've never heard of, but originating on 24 hour cable news networks.
I was ashamed to find that the story I was reading about the twin evils of godless communism abroad and liberal humanism at home was nothing more than unsubstantiated pseudolism.
