The hierarchy of identities on the identity politics social justice Left. A product of Social Marxist intersectionality, the stack is used to determine which people are more oppressed than others based on their inherent characteristics and therefore more entitled to speak and/or have opinions on the topic at hand. The acquired characteristics that make a person a distinct individual are irrelevant.
Identities are generally ranked as privileged or oppressed in the order which follows: race (white/non-white), gender (cis/trans), sex (male/female), sexuality (hetero/LGB+), ability (able/disabled), class (upper & middle/lower and working).
