overanswer

The slightly narcissistic tendency of someone to provide a long winded answer when asked an information enquiry. The question only requires a simple answer but the overanswerer will tell a personal story or anecdote they believe provides context for they're opinion.
I wanted to know the time but his overanswer included all the steps needed to build a watch.

Overswerved

When trying to “swerve” someone who is annoying and is known to spread gossip but “overswerve” into their equally annoying friend who reports directly to the original “swerve”.
Last night I tried to “swerve” Becky and “overswerved” into her annoying friend on accident. Got stuck with them all night.
