A word used amongst the various people groups which inhabit the Southern United States (Maryland is not the South). It is the pronunciation of the old English word "nary" (defined as: "absolutely nothing") spoken with a thick American Southern accent. It's pronounced: "Na" as in the first part of "nan", & " 'a " as in "uh".
Grandma: "Lookahere now! I ain't gone tell y'all again! Don't you pick up nothin' of the ground and put it in ya mouf not na'a 'nother time!"
Kids: "Yes ma'am."
