Etymology: "man" + "catastrophe"
Meaning: Some sort of disaster involving a man. Usually has something to do with a girl, although major injuries, missing a football game, and midlife crises also count.
I had a total mantasrophe the other day; I missed the big game and my girlfriend broke up with me. I suck. Think I'll go get a beer or something.
