"lawlphins" is a creative use of the abbreviation "lawl" which is another version of the word "lol", meaning laughing out loud

often used after you feel like you've said lol too many times and need to spice up the conversation. it was created by jjp for exactly that purpose when she was texting her friend on a very boring car ride.
