Jiong (囧) is an archaic Chinese character which means "patterned window", or "brightness". Because of its resemblence to a face, it is now used as an ideographic emoticon to show different moods ranging from amusement, awkwardness, annoyance, embarrassment to shock or DO NOT WANT.
