Failing in an attempt to make a point by citing references which are obviously irrelevant or contradictory to the argument, or by using incorrect definitions. A portmanteau of "idiocy" and "advocacy".
It's the height of idiocacy to quote from Darwin's "Origin of the Species" in support of Intelligent Design.
