Graphire was a line of entry level graphics tablets by Wacom that lasted from 1999 with the Graphire 1 to 2005 with the Graphire 4 before moving to the Bamboo in 2007 and later the Intuos in 2013.
The name Graphire comes from the word "Graphic" since it's a graphics tablet and word "Graphite" which is a material commonly found on pencils and those tablets had a pen.
