fratboyism

n. collective reference to the negative qualities usually attributed to frat boys or Greek culture in general. These include, but are not limited to: alcoholism, assholism, sexual promiscuity, poor academics, low intelligence, low sociability with those who do not participate in Greek life, disrespect for authority, and lack of interest in issues that actually affect human existence.

Most fraternities claim to be against fratboyism, whether or not they actually succeed is another issue entirely.

fanboyism

The collective outlook and behavior of a group of people concerning a subject (movies, games, hardware, comic book characters, etc.) which when challenged results in an antagonistic, passionate, and unreasoned response.

Rampant Fanboyism can be found on most internet message boards when such hot button subjects are discussed. You know a fanboy when you see one.

Example:
Fanboy 1: "Stupid people didn't get this movie"
Fanboy 2: "If you didn't like the movie, you should'nt come here and trash it."
Fanboy 3: It's unrealistic because.....___(fill in the blank about how this movie about flying superheroes is unrealistic.___"

Fratboyiosis is a debilitating disease that acts similarly to albinism. It turns the victim in to a “generic fratboy”. Though scientists are unsure what describes a generic fratboy, they have concluded that the symptoms tend to be blonde hair, blue eyes, and a light skin tone similar to that of a Caucasian. Fratboyiosis is developed in the womb as a result of a rare genetic mutation.
