Feminist theatre

Feminist theatre is a performance point of view that shows the oppresion of women under men, and urges society to challenge the norms and fight for gender equality by showing the strength and weaknesses in female characters and the fates they face as a cause of this.
An example of feminist theatre is Henrik Ibsen's Nora from "a dolls house", who after realizing that the place she is expected to take in society is one that she cannot live with, leaves her husband and children.
