featurephone

A cellular or mobile phone with only a few basic applications installed, e.g. messaging/SMS, calculator and calendar, and either a very limited app store, or none at all. May or may not connect to the Internet.

They generally lack the large touchscreens, opting instead for a smaller screen controlled via a dial pad and D-pad, or a QWERTY board; two-to-four context-sensitive "soft keys"; and a back/end call key opposite a talk/enter key.

All keys in the above paragraph are physical buttons on an older form-factor phone, ala candy bar or clamshell.
