emaillatte

An invitation to a work colleague or friend to join you for coffee, having no intention of engaging them in conversation. The issuer of the invitation will then spend the entire duration of the visit to the coffee shop engaged in activity on one or more electronic devices, while ignoring the invitee.
Four gen "Y" suited "brokers" on an emaillatte break, sitting in a coffee shop, all on their mobile phones talking to anyone who doesn't happen to be in the coffee shop with them. Perpetrator: One who generally lacks the courage to sit in the coffee shop on their own and needs to impress all and sundry with their level of self-importance by way of constant phone activity. Secondary indicators: Usually has the loudest "Phone Voice" and loudest ring tone to ensure everyone notices how important they are.
