diarchy

A form of government in which two individuals (the diarchs) are the heads of state or kingdom.

Related concept is monarchy. In a monarchy, there's only one ruler.
Simple example of monarchy is United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, where Queen Elizabeth II currently rules.
Example of diarchy is Equestria (fictional kingdom), where rule two royal sisters side by side, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
