Taking pleasure from the suffering of one's children. (From schadenfreude, "delight in another person's misfortune.") Any honest parent will admit to feeling this now and then.

She was such a brat at her birthday party that I felt a little dadenfreude when she dropped her cake and started crying.

Sadenfreude

noun: Overwhelming sense of maudlin upon discovery of unfortuante occurances and outcomes amongst friends and aquaintences. Variation on the more common German "Schadenfreud" where the prevaling emotional state upon similar discoveries is one of glee; happiness; or pleasure.

When Jim shat himself before he could make it upstairs to the bathroom, most of the peeps at the party nearly split their sides with laughter; but all I felt was some serious Sadenfreude.

radenfreude 

1) radenfreude - is pleasure derived from the radness of others.1 This word is taken from the German language. The literal English translation is 'Rad-Joy'. It is the feeling of joy or pleasure when one sees another succeed or enjoy life. It is also borrowed by some other languages.

Norm has such a bad case of radenfreude, that guy wants to see the world have a rad life.
