A Cataphile is a person who frequents and loves the Catacombs in Paris, France. They are underground explorers who know and sometimes spend days in the tunnels beneath the city, which are technically off-limits to the public and illegal to be in.

A person who is well-versed and educated in all things having to do with the culture of pot, marijuana, cannabis, weed, etc. This can include, but is not restricted to weed dealers, bong shop owners, musicians, Rastafarians, hippies, grow-house owners... It can also be used as a more respected label than the more commonly used terms, stoner or pothead.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
