A bin stretcher is something an co-worker asks the rookie hire to search for. The person sent looking for it will usually ask others where it is. Sometimes, he/she will be redirected elsewhere to locate it. It simply does not exist. It's a prank played on new fresh-faced employees.
"Hey Bob, did you hear Cam sent the new guy in receiving to look for the bin stretcher? He spent half an hour searching for it. This never gets old".
