Referring to a person's mother in a positive way as a phat dog; this is why phat is used with a "ph" instead of just an "f". If you're mother has once before been called a "phat dog" one should feel complimented, and not confused with the term "fat dog" in which you should feel offended, nobody wants their mother being called a "fat dog".
