Defining someone who appears to be somewhat depressed and yet keeps a constant game face on. Usually a hobo or a lush.
Someone described as Troubled Joe, is, well, troubled. Also compare 'Average Joe'.

I woke up today and felt like the Ghost of Troubled Joe...I think I'll quit my job.
