On one day a year, nobody texts their crush (unless there’s an emergency).
This means that if you don’t get a text from your crush, then perhaps she/he might like you back. In any case it relieves some stress and you have an excuse not to text her/him.

Person in real life who’s personality has been altered into someone better because of electronic messaging.

Friend: So who do you have a crush on?
Me: No one, really.
Friend: Oh, come on! There 'ought to be someone.
Me: Well, I have a text crush on this guy. He is a total jerk, but for some reason when I text him he is a totally different person.
