Societas Suspectorum

"Societas Suspectorum" is a Latin term that translates to "Society of the Suspicious" in English. It symbolizes a conceptual society or community where an atmosphere of mistrust and suspicion prevails. In this context, individuals tend to view others with skepticism and presume negative intentions in various everyday situations, such as work, relationships, or public spaces. The term is used to describe a culture characterized by quick judgments, unwarranted distrust, and a predisposition to consider others as potential wrongdoers without solid evidence. The concept reflects a social environment where suspicion becomes a voluntary and pervasive aspect of interpersonal dynamics.
"In the Societas Suspectorum that seemed to emerge, coworkers were often treated with skepticism, and trust was a rare commodity in everyday interactions."

"In a true Societas Suspectorum, the landlord exhibited a constant air of suspicion towards every potential renter. Despite a solid financial background and positive references, the landlord seemed predisposed to believe that every applicant might default on rent or cause damage to the property. This pervasive atmosphere of suspicion not only strained landlord-tenant relationships but also reflected the overarching culture of mistrust within the community."

"In the disconcerting atmosphere of Societas Suspectorum, even seemingly innocent interactions between adults and children were subject to unwarranted suspicion. A simple conversation between an adult and a random child, meant to be friendly or in passing, could be automatically perceived as questionable. This prevalent mindset cast a shadow on everyday interactions, fostering an environment where genuine goodwill was overshadowed by unfounded apprehensions and a readiness to assume the worst in people."

Breadhead

Someone who is addicted to obtaining money and building wealth. A money addict and fanatic. Breadheads often work more than one full-time job, and some even participate in illicit activities to "obtain the bread".
A breadhead is like a crackhead, but for money instead of crack.

schmegegge

Yiddish slang word meaning bullshit, baloney, hogwash, nonsense, crock of shit or hot air.
I don't buy the schmegegge about Morty sleeping with Moira.
His version of the story was pure schmegegge.
The whole schmegegge was made up to get Liz a little bit of attention.

eye bleach

Looking or experiencing something nice after witnessing something horrid like a disgusting gif or a disturbing video. Typically used as eye bleach are nice images of whatever makes the disturbed person happy.
"Bleach my eyes! Why is that woman's face ripped off!?"
*Looks up images of puppies and kittens.*
"That's good eye bleach."

Noun. Portmanteau of "street" and "road": it describes a street, er, road, built for high speed, but with multiple access points. Excessive width is a common feature. A common feature in suburbia, especially along commercial strips. Unsafe at any speed, their extreme width and straightness paradoxically induces speeding. Somewhat more neutral than synonymous traffic sewer.
Did you see what the traffic engineers want to do to our street? They're going to turn it into a total stroad!
