To be positive that the gifts or presents you have bought for someone he or she will enjoy; to be optimistic that the purchases you will make will be well-worth the money.

My mother was so shoptimistic about the presents she had bought for my sister and I this Christmas that she didn't even bother keeping the receipts.

It reflects the strength to persevere through uncertainty while expecting the best, without denying reality.

Slopticism

When you're skeptical as to the veracity of something being written by a human or through some AI slop.

While reading their post I became suspicious that they used AI to write it. My slopticism radar was going off.
