The Eclectic scientist uses whatever tools work for the problem at hand: quantum mechanics for the small, classical mechanics for the medium, statistical mechanics for the large, and maybe some indigenous ecological knowledge if it fits. This approach infuriates purists but often solves problems that single-framework thinking cannot. The risk is incoherence—borrowing without integrating. The reward is flexibility—solving real-world problems without caring whether your toolkit is philosophically consistent.
