Phonad - a person who makes silly phonecalls and won't get off the line. Often confused with a dork. Most telemarketers are Phonads.

phonangulate

Phonangulate verb

the act of two or more people using cellphones to either find each other verbally or by texting in an unfamiliar location.

I'll phonangulate you once I get to the Convention Center.

You arrange to meet someone in a large building or park but can not give a precise area because neither of you are familiar with the location. Once you both arrive you call each other or text each other saying...for example "I am by the merrygoround in the park . Or "I am at the bar on the 3rd floor of the hotel." You both PHONANGULATE until you meet face to face. The word is made up of triangulate..as in Triangulating a position and phone.

You did not know where to meet until one or both get to the location to get the lay of the land

Being generally lazy with a task. Doing it half-assed instead of with your full ass.

Guy 1: Did you watch the last season of the O.C.?
Guy 2: It sucked.
Guy 1: Yeah, they really phoned it in on that one. They just kept killing people off and making up new characters.

Man 1: I phoned it in on work on friday. I basically did nothing all day but eat a sandwich.

Phoned it in

(verb) to have completed an action, especially giving a performance, while showing a minimum of effort.

Generally used to refer to performances that border on unprofessional. The intended audience would have been similarly disappointed if the person had delivered the performance by speakerphone, in order to spend more time on leisurely pursuits.

"Her song and dance routine at the music awards was horrible! She looked out of shape, she forgot half the words... she basically just phoned it in."
