When playing a computer game and despite pressing all the right buttons, your character does something wrong or completely random. Typical of the Lara Croft games, even on all platforms.
Dude: Hey man you just died! You were supposed to jump over the gap! Why did you dive into it?
Non-dude: Hey man! Don't get at me! That's the Lara Croft Effect!
