1. German word for a soft or well-intentioned punch, not necessarily pain-less. -> buddy punch

2. the adjective "knuffig" stands for "soft and cuddly" and is used for babies and cute stuff in general.

"XY hat mir 'nen Knuff gegeben!" (XY buddy-punched me!)

A firefighter nap. Usually done in a recliner in the middle of the day.

knuffle

A hug (or cuddle). The original Dutch word 'knuffel' was deemed to be English sounding enough to be fully incorporated. Knuffle sounds the same and means the same.

I gave janet a big knuffle during the full moon.
