Although originally written by Diana Ross and The Supremes in 1966, Kim Wilde's release of "You Keep Me Hangin' On" twenty years later still brings in additional audiences to her music and 80's pop culture in general. Along with that particular track, she is also very well-known around the world for her original compositions, such as 1981's smash hit "Kids In America".

To "Kim Wilde" someone, you have many options. Theoretically, all that's required is either your prolonged response to a question (after, of course, you keep them hangin' on for a bit) or your prolonged presence in a situation that requires you to physically be there (i.e. picking someone up from school/work and being late in doing so.)
Example #1 (a 'conversational' Kim Wilde)

Person1 - "Man, what was the name of that awesome movie with the guy running around with no shoes...!? I know you know..."

Person2 - "........"

Person1 - "Don't do this to me. You own the DVD, I saw it at your house. Just tell me, it's buggin' the crap outta me!"

Person2 - "........"

Person1 - "Okay, if you don't stop pullin' a Kim Wilde on me, i`m gonna donkey punch you in the mouth."

Person2 - "The movie is called Die Hard with Bruce Willis, released in 1988."

Example #2 (a 'physical' Kim Wilde)

John Doe looks at his phone and realizes it is 8:35 pm. His ride is now twenty minutes late. He sits down calmly on a nearby bench and thinks to himself ...

'I can't believe that asshole is late AGAIN! He has Kim Wilded me for the last time, for I am going to touch his girlfriend inappropriately next time we are all drinking together.'

Note - donkey punches do not take place in the mouth.

British Synth-Pop artist who became popular in 1980 with the release of her single "Kids In America" followed by her self-titled album which released a year later. Until her fifth album, "Another Step," all of her songs were written by her father and brother and in her fourth album "Teases and Dares" there are even a few songs which she wrote herself. Most of her works consist of a unique blend of synthesizers and guitars which sets itself apart from most other music of the period. She is still popular in Europe and released her latest album, "Never Say Never" in 2006.
