This word was created by Barney Hobbs, who attends King Edward's school, Birmingham. He is a bit of a juamster himself. The word does not have much meaning, but it usually used to insult someone, but it can also be a very friendly gesture.
It is usually used instead of the term Wanker, as some may find it very offensive.

Get the jamster mug.Jamster, a provider of pathetic ringtones, wallpapers and anything that can be sold to 10 year olds. Not only are they so unoriginal that they had to buy the crazy frog sound from a Swede, they also paid him very little for his contribution to society where as Jamster(!) pocketed over $10 million in revenue worldwide.
A few lesser known facts about Jamster are that they are infact owned by Verisign, a respected provider of online security, whom, after the poorly animated Crazy Frog, Nessie the Dragon and the Little Britain rip off's have completly sold out.
It is wrong to say that new companys are springing up selling the same stuff, because all are OWNED by Jamster(!), for example, in the UK alone: GetZed, 82228 and Ringtoneking are all sister companys with more coming along each day. Even the so called 'Crazyfrog fansites and hatesites are owned by Jamster, as well as a huge portion of .coms relating to anything they are selling.
Jamster originally started as a relativly small company, but founded the so called 'Ringtone clubs' in the most dispicable of ways. By texting to one of their numbers you become subscribed to the service, whether you wanted just one ringtone if you are stupid enough to like such dribble, or if you found a banner ad on a site offering a free ringtone.
By doing this, they have effectively stolen £3 per week from children globally, and although they have an age restriction of 16 to subscribe, the majority of their clients are under this age.
Further examples of Jamster being even more unoriginal come with the release of the Crazy Frog/ Axel Foley single which has gone straight in at No. 1, and has been there for 2 weeks keeping artists such as Coldplay, 50 Cent and Black Eyed Peas from the topspot.
Jamster will come and go, but the general idea is that they will milk it till it bleeds before they crash and burn, so we will be putting up with more media blitzkreiging for some time to come with a variety of new characters including a forth coming Mrs Crazy Frog. Yay.

Get the jamster mug.Originally their main attraction and icon for the site is a frog and it's sound sound effects. However this sound effect was intended to be a sound effect for a flash file known as "insanity test".
Jamster has taken this sound and has dubbed it crazy frog sound which you can now purchase for your cell phone. With little or no changes in the voice, segments were made of a girls frog voice and other parts of the entire ring tone and sold off as their own.
While just about everything else on their site was just a graphic stolen from elsewhere, they remain keeping the frog as their spokes person for the company.
This is just the wrong way for any company to turn, it's supprising there is soo much proffit in decorating your phone. Which to people who use this site and pay for their services gladly like hold their phone as a symbol of place in society and have to be connected to every breathing mouth at all times.
Hopefully this will just be another internet business that will come and go. However so many other sites are emerging offering the same services. It just so happens jamster is whoring itself out with advertising everywhere and offering it's free music even at fast food places.
