Joe Dolan

A phrase used in Ireland to refer to unemployment benefit (The Dole), paying homage to the showband style singer Joe Dolan, who was the only Irish singer to reach number one in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

John: "Any luck finding a job yet?"
Brian: "No man, still stuck on the Joe Dolan"
